Three Peak Central Cottage, Settle, 3Bed 2Bath

The cottage is great, all very clean and furnished to a high standard, it had everything we needed. The living space is a little on the small side downstairs if all 3 bedrooms are occupied but it didn't affect our stay as we were out and about for the most part. The location is great for visiting the area. Definitely recommend.

Clean and modern stay with an attentive host in the doorstep of the dales. Positive: Booked for Friday to Sunday to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks on the Saturday. Arrived on the Friday evening very late but check in was easy due to the lock box, and communication from the host was very prompt and informative. Communication included being send a pdf with info about the property including parking info a few days in advance which was appreciated. There were six of us and the house slept us all very comfortably. All linens and towels were clean to the extent they felt new. The two bathrooms were modern and clean and shower pressure/flow was good. Kitchen facilities were very good with sufficient pots, pans and crockery for all our needs. We chose the property for its proximity to the start of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks at Horton in Ribblesdale which did not disappoint being less than a 15 minute drive away. One of our party ended the hike half way by getting the train back from Ribblehead to Settle where the house was only a 10 minute walk from the station which was highly convenient. Negative: I would note this is out of the control of the host given this is a village in the Yorkshire Dales: Parking is tight and based on availability on the green outside the property but at most we parked less than a 5 minute walk away from the property when a space wasn’t available on the green - not an issue. We were six adults so space in the living room was tight but not uncomfortable. I’d imagine for a family with kids it’d be fine.

We were a party of five (me, my sons and their partners). All.of us liked Three Peaks Cottage and had a good time there. The weather was mostly good. The cottage is well situated at the top.of the village and is very quiet All the important things worked well in the house, and we didn’t need to call.on you (Donna?) These are a few things where we felt there was room for improvement 1. There are no coffee tables / low surfaces on which to place drinks or food when chatting in the lounge or watching TV. The room would benefit from two such tables parallel to the sofabed and small settee. 2. The cottage sleeps up to six. However many guest parties will have friends or family staying elsewhere in Settle with whom it would be good to socialise / invite round for a meal. With that in mind it would be good if available cutlery

Great stay in Settle Positive: Location was great Cottage was clean and comfortable we felt at home

Positive: Everything. The cottage is so cosy and spacious with absolutely everything you could need. We had the master bedroom on the top floor with a wonderful view and the bed was really comfortable. The car park is a short walk away at the bottom of the hill. Would love to return. Negative: The cottage is halfway up a steep hill and so not good for me or anyone with walking difficulties. Also, mind your head in the master bedroom ensuite. Even though there's a sign it's easy to forget and bump your head!
